Getting the right mosquito net: What to look for
Taking your time when exploring our mosquito nets selection is certainly helpful, but we love making things easier for you, so we’ve listed some elements you should pay attention to when searching for a mosquito net:
Type
Your friend has a mosquito net that doubles as a round bed canopy and you want one too? You’re going fishing and you need a mosquito bed tent? You’re searching for a mosquito sun hat with a removable mosquito head net? Or maybe you need a baby bed windscreen for your little one?
Whatever it is, you’ll be happy to know that all of the above-mentioned types and many others are available at vidaXL.
Material
Our mosquito netting selection is made from high-quality materials including aluminium, fiberglass, and breathable fabric. Aluminium and fiberglass netting is usually recommended for windows since it’s easy to install and cut, so it could fit your desired size. Naturally, when it comes to mosquito nets for beds or mosquito net tents, the netting is made of fabric.
Sustainability
Usually, all insect nets and mosquito net beds should come in a practical and safe design, and they should be easy to install and set up. If you’re buying a mosquito net for traveling purposes, it’s also a good idea to make sure that it's lightweight, compact, easy to carry, and ideally collapsible for easy storage. Luckily for you, our mosquito nets tick all these boxes.
How to maintain your mosquito net
Insect nets are generally easy to maintain. To prolong the life of your mosquito net, we recommend only washing it when it’s needed. Use lukewarm water and soap or a mild detergent. Make sure you scrub it gently or use a special delicates program to wash it in the washing machine.
For your window mosquito nets, you can use a washcloth to wipe them clean. The same goes for baby bed windscreens, mosquito net tents, or insect screen magnetic doors.
Typically, good mosquito nets last for a couple of years, but we recommend checking your net for tears every once in a while to make sure it's still able to keep mosquitoes away.
